Upgradable Skills Summary
Only two skills from the entire event can be leveled up:
- Holy Water - The slow field becomes stronger at each level. Useful for crowd control in rooms with many small enemies.
- Golem Punch - Gains both damage and range at max level. The knockdown chance makes it valuable even before upgrades.
Both skills improve automatically as you collect upgrade materials during event stages. You do not need to spend separate resources.
Which Skills to Prioritize
For farming and early progress
- Silver Harp - More gold monsters means more resources per run. This is the safest first pick if you are still building your account.
- Dead Man’s Choker - Stacks with Silver Harp for even more gold in DQ1 stages. Pick this up once you have the Harp.
For damage builds
- Raincloud Staff and Sun Stone - Straightforward elemental damage boosts. Pick the one that matches your main weapon’s element. If you use a thunder weapon, take the Staff first. If fire, take the Stone.
- Golem Punch - The falling attack adds free damage during runs. The knockdown is extra value against grouped enemies.
For survival and comfort
- Loto’s Tablet - General enemy damage resistance. Good when you are dying to normal rooms more than bosses.
- Loto’s Mark - Specific to the Dragon Lord fight, but valuable if that boss is your current blocker.
- Dragon Scale - Covers both dragon enemies and fire damage. Useful in the later event stages where both appear together.
- Holy Water - The slow field makes rooms easier to control. More valuable after upgrades when the slow is stronger.
For synergy
- Melkido Guardian Golem - Only take this if you already have Golem Punch. The damage boost is meaningful, but the skill does nothing on its own.
FAQ
Can I still get these skills after the DQ1 event ends?
Event skills are typically only available during the event period. If the event returns in the future, the skills may become obtainable again.
Which DQ1 event skill should I prioritize?
Silver Harp for gold farming is the safest first pick. After that, choose based on your build: Raincloud Staff or Sun Stone for elemental damage, Loto's Tablet for survival, or Golem Punch for free passive damage.
Do upgraded skills carry over to other events or modes?
Yes. Once unlocked and upgraded, event skills remain on your account and can be used in normal play and other content.
Are event skills better than normal Blessings?
No. Event skills are extra passive effects that work alongside your Blessings. They add small bonuses rather than replacing your main run choices.
